Russell Myers

Russell Myers, D.Min., BCC, is a Lutheran pastor and board certified chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC). In 2014 he received the Outstanding Local Leadership Award from APC. Russ served as chaplain at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., for 22 years and began his work as chaplain for Allina Health EMS in 2007. He provides staff support to paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers and security officers. Professional interests include developing a theology of chaplaincy and examining the associations between experience, support and positive coping style with the resilience and skill of EMS and security personnel in managing the stress and trauma they experience in the course of their work.
